Alisha Rai's Girl Gone Viral tackles the grimy underbelly of social media with humor, satire, pathos, a great deal of family drama, and a positively sizzling romance (also, what may be the best pair of sexy eyebrows in Romancelandia).
These days self-isolation is the norm for many of us, and a good book is an escape that helps us navigate the hours (the many hours) of new-found time. Ironically, Rai's newest romantic comedy has a lot to do with avoiding people, places, emotions, and family at all costs. We get it, too — protagonists Katrina and Jas make us believers; we're on board with the reasons why they can't commit to each other.

Here's why former Clemson star Tee Higgins is donating Hot Wheels cars
In his younger years, Tee Higgins perceived football and basketball as little more than a means to get what he really wanted: Hot Wheels cars.
“He loved those things,” said Higgins’ mother, Lady Stewart. “In fact, my sister Denise had to use 99-cent Hot Wheels cars to bribe him to play sports.”

Higgins went on to become a standout at Oak Ridge High School in both sports, and the former Clemson wide receiver realized his longtime dream of making it to the NFL when he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals Friday night with the first pick of the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

It took nearly 18 years for Bangor-area native Kate Elizabeth Russell to finish her debut novel. She wrote and revised "My Dark Vanessa," an examination of a love affair between a teenage female student and a much older male teacher, many times, from high school through college to an MFA program in Kansas.

Even though there was little evidence of wrongdoing on Russell’s part, Oprah’s offer was then rescinded. Nevertheless, the book hit the New York Times Best Sellers List.
