With so many of the U.S.’s most economically disadvantaged struggling with the coronavirus crisis, it has been heartwarming to see those with means help out in any way they can.
Another big-name athlete pledged to offer support to the cause on Saturday. Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, along with supermodel wife Kate Upton, announced that he will be donating his MLB paychecks each week to help citizens cope with the virus’ effects.
