According to College Station police, employees at Victoria's Secret in Post Oak Mall called authorities on Jan. 6 to report a shoplifting incident that had taken place earlier in the day. Detectives obtained security camera footage and were able to review the incident.
Police said the footage showed two women and a man entering the store at different times. The women gathered piles of panties for sale and placed the merchandise into a purse, police said. One woman gave a man, identified as 41-year-old Michael Wayne Kennedy, a shopping bag, which he held open while she placed bras inside, a report notes. The three left the store with 26 bras, 144 pairs of panties and a small backpack that was available for purchase, totaling more than $3,000 in value.

Victoria's Secret reported $7.37 billion in sales during its fiscal 2018, so to be sold for around 15% of that is abysmal to say the least. Savage X Fenty's sales are growing, and Victoria's Secret's sales are declining with stores that were open at least a year falling 10% during Q4 last year.

Aerie, a lingerie and intimate apparel store, will open this spring in the former PacSun location, according to a sign posted outside the store. PacSun, an Anaheim, Calif.-based clothing store catering to teens and young adults, closed at the end of 2019.
The new store will be located next to the American Eagle clothing store. Aerie is a sub-brand of American Eagle Outfitters, which is based out of Pittsburgh’s South Side.
Other businesses have opened at the Hempfield mall including Knockerball Run, which is described as “bubble soccer” or a “human hamster ball” on the company’s website , and consists of an inflatable ball that covers the upper body.
