If History Repeats, Video Game Stocks Could Soar 690%+

A new super cycle is revving up. And if history repeats, this super cycle will hand out profits of 8X to 18X, starting now.

If you've studied investing, you've likely come across the idea of "cyclical" assets. Cyclical assets go through boom and bust cycles. One year they surge in price, the next year they plummet.

Like other cyclical assets, the "video game super cycle" has everything to do with supply and demand. You see, a new generation of video game consoles comes out every five to eight years.

First-ever American Sign Language Accessible Video Game Launches on Campus | The Alcalde

Video games have come a long way since the '80s, when "Oregon Trail" had kids act as wagon leader, guiding 19th-century settlers, and friends duked it out over a match of "Pong" on their Atari. From 3-D graphics to portable gaming systems to virtual reality, developments in the gaming world have been fast and frequent. But in all that time, there has never been an American Sign Language accessible video game. Until now.

Two quick, easy and effective video game workouts - The Washington Post

While they can stimulate our brains and, depending on the title, our social acumen, video games aren't exactly the healthiest pastime in that they rarely stimulate our bodies. That can make it difficult to indulge in your passion while also adhering to any New Year's resolution to get in shape. However, with some creativity you can craft a workout regiment to fill the downtime in your favorite game with some simple, effective exercises.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is the epitome of an efficient and effective workout routine, pushing a full body workout into intervals that last only a few minutes apiece. With repeated sets, this routine is perfect for any battle royale and can be adjusted for length, making it a great option whether you die in the first circle or the last.

The top 5 games of 2019 | Video Game Odyssey – Chico Enterprise-Record

The world of gaming has its ups and downs, and thankfully, 2019 has been solid from beginning to end. It was a year stacked with great titles, from high-budget heavy hitters to indie sleeper hits. Creating a list like this isn't easy, but these are the five games that I would recommend the most from 2019.

Despite being a big fan of this series, it took me a good while to finally get to "Metro Exodus." I was unsure how the deeply atmospheric world of "Metro" would translate into a more open environment and thankfully, they nailed it. "Exodus" manages to retain its immersive, post-apocalyptic world while also adding engaging exploration and customization systems. The way side missions blend into the main story as you go around scavenging and shooting is perfect.

Video games: Senior citizen video gamers are growing by the millions - CBS

Although teenage boys remain the most avid video game players in the U.S., they're being joined at the console by another group — their grandparents.

More than 10 million Americans age 50 and older became active video gamers over the past three years, according to an AARP  survey . In 2016, there were 40 million senior gamers, a number that's mushroomed to about 51 million in 2019, the survey found.

To be sure, people in their mid-30s still make up a majority of the gaming industry's customers, but the rise in gray-haired gamers has big implications for how companies like Electronic Arts and Nintendo market and create new products, industry observers say.

What experts say may drive video game addiction in teens

TUCSON, Ariz. — Chances are if you've held a controller in your hands you have control of how much you play.

"There are a lot of kids, they come home and they use video games to decompress, they use them for emotional management," said behavioral specialist, Diane Ryan.

Ryan said there's a difference between a teen's interest in gaming and when their reliance on it becomes a behavioral pattern.

"Depression and anxiety, and that will often times manifest in a way that their parents can notice."

Video Game News: Google Stadia Free Games, 'Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy'

In 2020, we have a lot to look forward to. A new console generation is on the horizon. And players will finally get to experience two of the most anticipated, high-budget games of the past two years: The Last of Us: Part II and Marvel's Avengers .

But those don't come out for another several months. January 2020 is a little low on new IPs and blockbusters; many of the most notable releases are either DLC of hit games from last year, or remakes of earlier classics. That said, there are a handful of brand new titles worth checking out. January is the month of the sleeper hit; it's the month that some indie developer, who no one even saw coming, has the opportunity to make some noise and a name for him or herself.
