HART: Finally, a Hollywood award show worth watching - Odessa American: Opinion Columnist

Each year I write about the predictably smug, "woke" and self-congratulatory award shows. In January The Golden Globes kicks off this annual ritual of actors giving each other awards, which lasts through about November. I like to watch the Golden Globes as it is a great indicator of how boring the Academy Awards will be. The only change in last year's ceremony, which was hosted by the self-righteous and predictable Seth Meyers, was that fewer actresses thanked Harvey Weinstein.

* * *

This year's Golden Globes host, Ricky Gervais, woke up the "ever-woke," sanctimonious, shallow and hypocritical Hollywood with his opening monologue. Gervais, beer in hand, told the leftist actors, "If you do win an award tonight, don't use it as a platform to make a political speech, right? You're in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg."

While you're here, how about this:

Gisele Bündchen criticized for comments about overcoming anxiety with strict wellness plan:

"They just have to make the decision of working at it," the Brazilian beauty says. "That's the problem with today's society, people want instant gratification where it's you know: 'I want to do something and [when] I wake up I want to look like this.' I'm like, 'er, well, you know for me to cure my panic attacks, it took months. I could have taken a pill, but I decided no. I'm going to wake up every morning and I'm going to meditate and do breath work.' It took months.

"Everything starts with discipline," she adds, when asked about how others might maintain a regimen that, according to the Observer , begins with stretching and meditating, detoxifying the teeth by swilling oil for several minutes, and working out.

Sideflank is the racy new fashion trend replacing the sideboob

If you thought the braless sideboob trend was the most revealing style to hit red carpets over the past few years there is a new racy look set to take the crown.

It's called the sideflank and essentially involves seemingly non-existent - or actually non-existent - underwear.

From extreme side-slits in floor length gowns to strategically placed cut-outs, the revealing look has been seen everywhere from the red carpet to Instagram.

Dr. Azibanigha Scott: Before you get plastic surgery Make sure you are aware - Mag Viral News

Thanks to social media we see more physical changes in people’s bodies. There is a craze for plastic surgery and it now seems to be everywhere.

This piece is not to prescribe how people should spend the money they earn; I write to help you make sure you are safe if you want to go under the knife.

The first question to ask yourself is “why am I doing this?” Undergoing plastic surgery is addictive; there are people who continue to identify defects and they must continue to update. Before you get bitten by plastic surgery, you really need to know why you are doing it. Are you doing this because you don’t feel good about yourself? Do you feel incomplete? Do you want this because it will make you happy?

How long should you breastfeed your baby for? 8 mums share.

Take Amy Schumer, who last week told listeners of the Informed Pregnancy podcast about her struggles with breastfeeding and why she switched to formula. That is, for her own mental health.

“Some people absolutely love it (breastfeeding), and I’m so happy for them, but it was bumming me out,” the comedian revealed.

“Once it occurred to me that I could stop, I was like, ‘I’m going to stop.’ You matter. It’s going to better for your baby that you’re OK,” she said.
