Brookland wins the girls vote by 298 votes over Jonesboro. With less than a minute to go in overtime, Katie Earles kicks and Helena Garcia gets triple twine to give the home team the lead. The Lady Bearcats beat Valley View 43-42 in a 4A-3 thriller.

OAKMAN — Eleven different Oakman players scored points and the Wildcats coasted to a 62-38 victory over Addison in a game played Tuesday afternoon at Oakman High School.

“We lacked energy and focus tonight,” Fennville coach Tyler Rock said. “We played a very sloppy game and the results showed. Kudos to Hackett for coming out with more energy, desire, and scrappiness than us and quite frankly we still could have won the game. As a young team we need to find out how to bring the focus and energy every single possession and game. We show glimpse of really good basketball and other times we don’t.
