Vintage baseball cards, antique coins and rare comic books, originally bought for pennies, now regularly sell for millions of dollars, sending enthusiasts in pursuit of the next hot collectible: retro video games.
Collectors have been able to quickly flip the most coveted titles, making thousands of dollars in profit and fueling concerns of unsustainable hype.
One collector, Donald Brock Jr., who runs the website Columbia Comics , said he had spent about $50,000 buying vintage video games since his first purchase in March. One sealed N.E.S. game cost nearly $1,500. He had its condition graded, and then sold it for more than $12,000.

Select hotels will also feature state-of-the-art venues and studios to accommodate esports events.
Nintendo no longer repairing Wii video game consoles.
Nintendo is no longer offering repairs for Wii systems in the U.S. , the game maker says online. "Nintendo no longer offer repairs for Wii systems. However, many issues can be resolved by following the troubleshooting steps on our support site," the company says on its customer support site.
The video game company said Monday it is ending repairs for the game console in Japan as of March 31 because it has had trouble getting parts to repair the console. Several tech news websites including Engadget reported the announcement from Japan.

Atari is Making Video Game-Themed Hotels Now, We Guess
Atari will soon begin working on video game themed hotels in the United States. The Atari brand has been around since the early 1970s and has been a huge name in the video game industry ever since. Atari almost singlehandedly pioneered the video game console market with the release of the Atari 2600 and its popular game Pong .
After several years of financial trouble Atari filed for bankruptcy, but was able to emerge from bankruptcy later the same year. From here Atari remained relatively quiet in the video game industry, until 2017 when the company announced that it was working on a brand new gaming console . This new system, the Atari VCS, will run on a Linux operating system and has the capability to play modern video games and operate streaming services.
