The company, which was created in 1972, promises a lodging experience that combines a one-of-a-kind video-game themed destination with immersive virtual and augmented reality experiences, according to its statement .

Video games just ain't what they used to be | News, Sports, Jobs - Adirondack Daily Enterprise

I finally get to use this expression. Back in my day, video games were finished products and publishers weren’t trying to drain you for everything you got.

You bought Super Mario 64, and you knew damn well you were throwing Bowser on a bomb at the end of the game. You picked up Metal Gear Solid 2, and you were in for hours of an insane narrative driven by amazing stealth gameplay. You start playing a Marvel vs. Campcom and you knew those mystery fighter slots would be filled in with awesome characters as soon as you won them.

Every team's best video game player | MLB.com

Back in November, R.B.I. Baseball 20, out in March, announced that Christian Yelich is on the cover of the newest version of its game. We have been playing baseball video games for many years and can say with certainty that Yelich, who has power, speed and incredible hand-eye coordination, is

Thus today, in honor of Yelich's cover achievement, we look at the best all-time video game player from each team. Obviously, not all of these guys have actually made it into a video game: There were no video games in 1930s, much to the chagrin of 1930s teenagers everywhere. That said, here is one player from each franchise you'd want to play as regardless of whether they have actually appeared in a video game.

Can exercise improve video game performance? | EurekAlert! Science News

Time spent playing video games is often seen as time stolen from physical activities. Research has shown that exercise has many physical and cognitive benefits. But what if exercise could benefit video game performance as well? A new study led by neuroscientist Dr. Marc Roig and his research team from the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy at McGill University, found, for the first time, that it can.

* * *

Conducting their work at The Memory Lab, the researchers showed that as little as 15 minutes of intense cardiovascular exercise, performed immediately before playing a video game, improved the performance of the popular online video game, League of Legends (LoL). To complete the study, a group of young individuals were asked to either perform intense cardiovascular exercise, or rest, immediately before playing the same customized mission in LoL.

Video game heroes that would make terrible friends

The world of video games has seen some pretty incredible characters over the years. From grand heroes to diabolical villains, it's so easy to get attached to well-defined characters and their stories. But if you really step outside of the narrative of a game, some of these characters begin to look a little different. In short, even some of the coolest characters in video games would absolute suck to hang out with. Yes, even the heroes.

If you've played this game, you probably know the truth: Preston Garvey from Fallout 4 is one of the most roundly disliked video game characters in recent memory. Sure, he's the leader of the Minutemen, a group dedicated to taking the Wastelands back from the raiders and monsters that have claimed it over the years. But the fact that remains that he's...a bit of a mooch?
