After almost nine years at the center of Leesburg's historic district, the Le Tache lingerie and adult shop is closing.
According to the company website, the store will close Dec. 31, after losing its lease. A sign on the store window asks customers to patronize its nearest store on Davenport Drive in Sterling. Yesterday I was doing some searches to see when the holiday decorations come up (I do weird searches all the time) and up came Google Shopping Ads that were a bit adult in nature. Specifically selling lingerie and adult oriented costumes. Yes, for the search term [christmas]. A lot of others were seeing the same or similar ads as well.
Google seems to have removed these ads now, which is a good thing. But here is what some of the results looked like:
