Fox News host Tucker Carlson says the US government is hiding evidence of UFO wreckage from the public. "There is physical evidence that the US government is holding which would tell us a lot more about what these objects are," he said. "I've heard this from someone who I think is knowledgable in the subject."
A kitchen fire broke out when a family dog somehow turned on a microwave. Firefighters in Essex discovered that the blaze had started in the kitchen when the homeowner's dog, a husky, started the microwave, causing a package of bread rolls inside to burn and catch fire. The dog and its owners were unhurt.
Quite a lot has been going on:
In 1952, UFOs Over Washington Sent the National Press Into a Frenzy - HISTORY
If 1952 marked the year that UFO fever spread across Cold War America, events in late July of that year spiked that mania to critical levels. That's when the grandfather of all "saucer" sightings took place in the skies above the nation's capital, causing a coast-to-coast collective jaw drop.
Over several weeks, up to a dozen unexplained objects repeatedly streaked across the skies over Washington, D.C.—spotted not just by crackpots, but by radar operators, professional pilots and other highly credible witnesses. The Air Force scrambled fighter jets, but the 'saucers' outran them. Around the U.S., sci-fi-like headlines blared, rumors flew and sightings soared.
UFOs are back in the news — and Minnesotans are seeing more of them - StarTribune.com
"My wife and I noticed what we thought was a star. It then started moving up and down, side to side and at 90 degree angles," reads a September report marked as coming from Hastings, Minn. "I have never seen anything like this before."
"I was driving to work early in the morning and noticed double-layered lights surrounding a massive circular object in the sky around 494 and Minnetonka Blvd," reads another from Minnetonka in August.
"Just got home from buying a dirt bike for my kids and took it for a drive in the dark to the end of the driveway," described another from Mora in June, "I saw a fireball looking circle moving around slightly about a half mile away, about 60 ft up, it just suddenly disappeared."
Meteor, UFO over Los Angeles? No, Red Bull skydivers mark supermoon
No, downtown Los Angeles did not experience a meteoric impact or a visit from aliens. It was all a Hollywood stunt by drink-maker Red Bull.
On Wednesday night, Twitter lit up with videos and tweets from people alarmed because of an apparent fireball streaking across the skies of downtown Los Angeles.
"What is this flying item on fire above downtown Los Angeles?" wrote Dennis Hegstad in a post on Twitter featuring the mysterious flying object.

UFOs Remain Elusive Despite Decades of Study | Space
In July, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) celebrates 50 years of investigating and promoting research on the unidentified flying object phenomenon. The all-volunteer, nonprofit, science-based organization has endeavored since 1969 to hunt down answers about baffling vehicles of unknown origin.
Based in Irvine, California, MUFON makes its credo clear-cut on its website: "Our goal is to be the inquisitive minds' refuge seeking answers to that most ancient question, 'Are we alone in the universe?' The answer, very simply, is no. Whether you have UFO reports to share, armchair UFO investigator aspirations, or want to train and join our investigation team, MUFON is here for you. Won't you please join us in our quest to discover the truth?"
UFO Sightings Will Soon Peak. Don't Blame The Government
A crescent Moon and the planets Mercury and Venus over the European Southern Observatory's (ESO) ... [+] Paranal Observatory in Chile.
However, before you start to panic, know that the bright light is nothing more than a close planet coming back into view after a while behind the Sun.
It is, of course, super-bright planet Venus and–for a limited time only–it can be seen with the hardest-to-see tiny planet Mercury.
* * *
Venus has been hidden for a while observable only before dawn for much of 2019, and until recently lost in sunlight. It reached what astronomers call "superior conjunction" (when it appears to go behind the Sun from our point of view on Earth) back in mid-August, but it's only now beginning to move away from the glare of the setting Sun. The same goes for Mercury, which was hidden by the Sun's glare completely during its superior conjunction on September 4.
