Investigators Find Clue to Mysterious Vaping Injuries - WSJ

Researchers found the oil in fluid taken from the lungs of patients with illnesses related to vaping from 10 different states, the CDC said. No other suspicious substances were detected aside from vitamin E oil, also known as vitamin E acetate.

"For the first time, we have detected a potential toxin of concern" in patient samples, Anne Schuchat, the principal deputy director at the CDC, said on a call with reporters. "These findings provide direct evidence of vitamin E acetate at the primary site of the injury within the lung."

Why Many People Got Mysterious Valentine's Day Texts Today | WIRED

A spokesperson for Sprint says the issue was caused by a maintenance update made to part of the "messaging platforms of multiple carriers in the US," and has since been fixed. The problem "caused some customers to have older text messages resent to their devices. The issue was resolved not long after it occurred. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused." It's not clear what, exactly, that means.
