Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the first good Star Wars video game since Disney took over the franchise in 2013. Video games are complicated and expensive to make, especially when you’re dealing with a licensed property like Star Wars. Fallen Order pulls it off, delivering a thrilling Jedi simulator that manages to both tell a compelling story and deliver action-packed gameplay.
Developer Respawn Entertainment is the reason Fallen Order succeeded. The studio behind Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends has yet to make a bad game, but its games haven’t been as narrative driven as Fallen Order . Swinging a lightsaber is fun, but the story of outlaw Jedi Cal Kestis and former Jedi Cere Junda are what kept me playing. I wanted to know what would happen to those characters. I cared about them. That’s rare, for me, in a video game.

Hideo Kojima May Return to Horror Genre for Next Video Game Project | Digital Trends
In an October interview with Rocket Beans Gaming, in which Kojima talked about the video game industry and the direction of his independent studio Kojima Productions, confirmed his interest in working on a horror video game.
“I want to do a horror game one day, yes of course. I have some new ideas that I think kind of get out there. But I don’t know when. I’ll have to think about when I bring this out,” said Kojima. “Horror, when it comes to movies…You can kind of close your eyes watching a really fearful thing. Games are different than movies. If you close your eyes in a movie you can make it go away and the movie continues, but in games, it’s interactive.

This was all a part of the Queen City High School Game Jam at Buffalo Game Space, which is a local nonprofit that is dedicated to helping people create games. The event was fully funded by AT&T.
Their team of developers, musicians, artists and mentors helped the students build their games, and hopefully inspire them for careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
"Buffalo is in a real great need for developers, musicians, artists," said Arsenio Colon, a Buffalo Game Space board member. "And like, I don't think that's gonna stop any time soon. That need's just gonna increase year after year."
