October is usually one of the biggest months of the year for new video game releases as eager publishers look to get their best games out on the shelves for the holiday season. But with multiple studios prepping for the launch of the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Project Scarlett next year, a bunch of blockbuster titles are waiting until 2020 to launch.
That's left room for some lesser known games to take the spotlight, like Obsidian Entertainment's "The Outer Worlds." "The Outer Worlds" was the second-best selling game of October, according to data from the NPD Group. It was surpassed only by "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare," the latest entry into the perennial best-selling franchise.

Streaming video games have arrived - Marketplace
Google is launching a cloud-based video game service called Stadia this week, letting players run some of the most popular new games on their TVs, laptops, and phones. Stadia eliminates the need for pricey consoles and fancy gaming PCs. But industry watchers are skeptical that game streaming will catch on anytime soon.

Road warriors: Video games between autonomous cars take shape
Passengers in the autonomous cars of the future could one day play a series of video games with each other.
If autonomous cars are to ever become the norm, there will many passengers with free time on their hands. Now, researchers from the University of Waterloo have designed three games that could be played between passengers in cars near each other on the road.
Revealed as part of a study presented at a recent conference, the games are designed for cars with Level 3 autonomy or higher. Unlike the Level 2 autonomy of Tesla's Autopilot – which requires the driver to keep their focus on the road even when the car is driving itself – Level 3 cars require almost no attention on the part of the driver.

PGA Tour pros have emotional meeting with. . .
I have never played the video game Call of Duty so I can't speak to the bonds of friendship created by sharing a (fake) foxhole. But the following video will prove that technology does in fact bring people, including PGA Tour pros, from all over the world together. And can even lead to (gasp!) face-to-face meetings between millennials.
Here's the backstory. Apparently, Harold Varner III and Carlos Ortiz are hooked on Call of Duty in addition to being PGA Tour pros. Hey, you've got to pass all that time spent in hotels somehow, right? But at some point while playing with each other remotely, they came across a guy named Arturo.
10 Best Anime TV Shows Based On Video Games, Ranked | CBR
Maybe you'll discover something new about a show you already like, and maybe you'll find a new show to enjoy. Nonetheless, let's get to it.
* * *
The anime's main protagonist goes through his journey honing his God Arc with the goal of defeating the Aragami once and for all. It has an interesting art style that mixes both 3D and 2D elements which, alongside the execution of the story, might be hit or miss, but it's still worth a shot.
Senran Kagura is a series of games with different mechanics, all of which are pretty heavy on the fan service. The characters' proportions are exaggerated, and so are the effects applied to them, panty shots have been featured, and in some games, damage inflicted leads to pieces of clothing being stripped off of them. The anime is about a group of girls training to be shinobi, each representing a certain character trope, and the shenanigans they get into during their studies.
10 TERRIBLE Levels That Stopped You Replaying Great Video Games
We all have our favourite games. We all have our favourite levels in said favourite games. Think Shadow Of The Colossus' third battle, or Sonic 2's Chemical Plant Zone. It's gaming at its finest , and one of the reasons we love the medium so much. Being able to not only experience these moments but to control them and drive them ourselves is what makes gaming so special.
But for every "Breaking The Bank At Caligula's" in GTA, there's inevitably going to be a "Wrong Side Of The Tracks" or "Supply Lines".
