26 Kids Concealed Behind Secret Wall at Colorado Day Care: Police | PEOPLE.com

A Colorado daycare owner used a “false wall” to hide two adults and 26 kids inside a basement, disguising the fact that her facility was only licensed to hold six children, police have alleged.

On Wednesday, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a call at Play Mountain Place after receiving complaints of overcrowding, according to the police report . Officers also enlisted the help of the Department of Human Services to perform a welfare check on the children in care.

SEC to OK 4 firms' secret-stock offerings

Regulators are on track to approve four new types of exchange-traded funds that keep their holdings secret, notching a win for active managers.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said that it plans to approve active nontransparent exchange-traded funds from T. Rowe Price, Natixis, Fidelity and Blue Tractor, according to filings last week. The funds will reveal their holdings at least once a quarter, rather than disclosing their portfolios every day as conventional exchange-traded funds.

These employees fundraise for UMass Amherst, but their salaries are secret - masslive.com

Students pass Nov. 15, 2019, by Memorial Hall at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where the UMass Amherst Foundation has offices.

The UMass Amherst Foundation, the fundraising arm of the flagship campus for the University of Massachusetts system, pays around $3 million a year in salaries. But while public money accounts for at least some of that total, state taxpayers have no way to know how many employees work at the foundation, or what they earn.

While you're here, how about this:

3 things I learned reading 'Secret Houston' - HoustonChronicle.com

Author William Dylan Powell has put together a roundup of tidbits on our unknown city in "Secret Houston: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure" (214 pp., Reedy Press).

Now, if you know Houston inside and out, and places like the San Jacinto Ordnance Depot seem like common knowledge, then you're probably familiar with many of these entries.

But maybe you're a "Newstonian" looking to explore. Or maybe you always wondered what the "H" in "Super H-Mart" means. Or you never even knew there was once a Confederate prison camp outside downtown. In that case, "Secret Houston" is your guide to becoming a Bayou City insider.

Planned Parenthood awarded $2.3 million for secret videos | FOX 61

After a six-week civil trial, the San Francisco jury found David Daleiden trespassed on private property and committed other crimes in recording the 2015 videos. He and the Center for Medical Progress and various employees were ordered to pay varying amounts.

Planned Parenthood sued the activists as part of what the group called "a multi-year illegal effort to manufacture a malicious campaign."

Daleiden said the jury reached the verdict after a "biased judge with close Planned Parenthood ties spent six weeks trying to influence the jury with pre-determined rulings and suppressed the video evidence."

BBB warns that illegal ‘Secret Sister’ gift exchange scam has resurfaced on social

According to the BBB, the so-called “Secret Sister” gift exchange has resurfaced on popular social media sites like Facebook and Reddit.

It’s advertised as a “Secret Santa” style gift exchange among online friends you haven't met. However, the BBB says that while it may look innocent and fun, the “Secret Sister” gift exchange is actually a pyramid scheme and is considered illegal.
