STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --The College of Staten Island (CSI) will soon have a genomic research facility that will allow faculty and students to conduct genome sequencing and analysis.
"In addition to preparing students to enter the global genomics industry, the CSI Genomics Research Facility will, among other priorities, advance critical faculty research regarding the genetic causes and contributors of some of the most prevalent health-related issues in the borough," said CSI President William J. Fritz.
The application of genomics is vast and growing in the health care field, including the advancement of personalized medicine and gene therapy!
