At Kendrick Lakes Elementary school in Lakewood, parents will rave about the school’s community. Last fall, the school was bestowed with the National Blue Ribbon award by the U.S. Department of Education, an award that recognizes schools for academic excellence, or for making improvements in closing the achievement gaps for student subgroups

The design process for the new $23 million school building is underway. While the planning continues, construction is expected to start this December with a move-in date sometime in December of 2020.
