Apple chief executive Tim Cook has also said China eventually will become the No. 1 market for the company.
Unlike Apple, Google is not as deeply entrenched in the Communist state, famously pulling its services like Gmail and Youtube from China in 2010. Last year, the Asian-Pacific region accounted for about $21 billion of Google-parent Alphabet's roughly $137 billion in global sales.

'League of Legends' maker has new online video games in the works
For starters, there are some new features coming to the super-popular online video game, which turns 10 this month.
"We think that we have got some really cool things to be excited about so we are excited to see people's reaction," said Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill in an interview with USA TODAY.

He and fellow co-founder Brandon Beck – who created the company in 2006 and co-created "League of Legends," which launched in 2009 – stepped away from day-to-day leadership of the company in December 2017 to work on projects beyond the core game.
Their goal over that nearly two years, he said, was to help "unlock more value in this company around relating to our culture, and the our future and products and where things are going."
These and other gameplay changes "are meant to really open up the map to fresh new strategies," he said.

Back on Oct. 4 and 5, 88Nine Labs hosted its first-ever video game festival called Longplay as part of the Fall Experiment! 88Nine Labs wanted to create a unique gaming experience that was inclusive and diverse and looked at gaming holistically, which is rare for the Midwest region as a whole. Most don’t know that the gaming industry has earned more income than the movie and music industry combined. 88Nine Labs want to show that there are a lot of opportunities for students, entrepreneurs, and brands in Milwaukee in the gaming industry. We wanted Longplay to be a catalyst for this discussion.
We kicked off Longplay with a collaboration with Fall Experiment’s STEM programming. We invited Madison game studio Filament Games to talk about their VR game Breaking Boundaries to students.

"I don't think about being disabled when I'm in my gaming setup and talking to everyone," Reece, 33, said. "Just Jackson 'pitbullreece,' just sitting here playing, and that's what makes me me."
Mark Barlet, founder of Able Gamers Charity, which helps those with disabilities connect to video games through adaptive technology, said that like with many able-bodied individuals, video games can help those with disabilities forget what they can't do.
"The trappings, the scary parts of disability, don't define and don't have to define you [in video games], and that's really breathtaking," Barlet said.
Reece and McDonald are both part of a group called Detroit Gamers, a streaming community that includes people from all over the country with varying abilities. The group was started by Rocky Stoutenburgh, 31, or " RockyNoHands " to those who watch his stream.
