If you⁘ve been watching season 10 of the Amazing Race Canada this summer and have thought, ⁘I can do that,⁘ you⁘ll have a chance to prove it next month.
JCI Kelowna is putting on an event on Sept. 28, 2024, called City Sprint Kelowna, which will see teams dash through the city solving clues and completing challenges.
The organization says it⁘s reminiscent of the Amazing Race and will be an ⁘action-packed day⁘ full of excitement, laughter and a bit of friendly competition.
⁘City Sprint Kelowna is more than just a race; it⁘s a celebration of community spirit and collaboration,⁘ said JCI Kelowna president Grace Mander. ⁘We⁘re thrilled to bring people together for a day of fun and to support meaningful causes in our community.⁘
Organizers say City Sprint Kelowna, put on in partnership with the Downtown Kelowna Association, offers something for everyone, whether they⁘re a local looking for a new way to explore the city or a visitor seeking adventure.
Contestants will navigate iconic Kelowna landmarks and hidden gems, tackling unexpected twists as they experience the best that downtown has to offer.
Proceeds from City Sprint Kelowna will go towards building a kitchen for the Downtown Youth Shelter at BGC Okanagan, as well as JCI Kelowna⁘s ongoing community activities.
Those wanting to participate in the event in late September are encouraged to secure their spot today , as the price will increase as the competition draws nearer.
