Rochelle News-Leader | Consider this: Artificial intelligence

When I read Mr. Reeder’s article “Artificial intelligence and how it may affect jobs” in the Sunday, April 16 edition of this paper, it got me thinking of a paper I wrote in my senior year in Rochelle High School.

I do, however, remember the premise of the paper I wrote. I talked about how developing computers to have human thoughts and feelings would not be sound. That it could only lead to tragedy. This, again, was coming from my 18-year-old self at a time when computers were in their initial development.
