The Amazing Race's Angie And Danny⁘s Lost Crew Never Showed Up

The Amazing Race season 36 contestants Angie and Danny Butler ⁘s elimination was a hard one to watch as it came down to something outside of their control.

Although the episode made it look like their crew showed up eventually, Angie and Danny have since revealed that wasn⁘t the case.

⁘They had me say the line like, ⁘Hey, our crew is here.⁘ Our crew wasn⁘t there,⁘ Danny exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 2. ⁘I don⁘t know why they decided ⁘ maybe it⁘s because we had waited so long ⁘ but they just grabbed another crew that was already there and [were] like, ⁘Hey, they⁘re going to take you down to the beach.⁘ And so probably about 30 minutes into the detour I think is when we ended up seeing our cameramen again.⁘

Danny also ventured a guess as to why it took their crew so long to find them after taking the wrong turn at a roundabout.

⁘It was a local driving them. I think the local literally just got lost for an hour and a half, even though the challenge was, like, 16 minutes [or] 17 minutes from [where we lost them],⁘ he said.

⁘There⁘s all these meetings going on because it⁘s unprecedented,⁘ she explained. ⁘And to their defense, I don⁘t think anybody knew what to do. So, it was a learning experience.⁘

The Reason Odell Beckham Jr. And Kim Kardashian Decided To Split, And His New Contract With Miami...

Kim and Khloé Kardashian look back at their viral fight 16 years ago: 'Be careful what you wish for'

"Kim and Odell are friends and have a lot of mutual friends in common," a close source to the pair revealed to E! News in September 2023, explaining that Kim was "not seriously dating anyone at the moment but open to finding love again if she meets the right person."

Fast forward to May 2024, it seems like the couple were not the right person for each other. "Kim and Odell have been doing their own things lately. Kim is so busy and hasn't been putting any pressure on herself to be committed to anyone or in a serious relationship. She is all about being a hands-on mom," an insider revealed to ET.

"Kim and Odell have always been open and honest about their future, whether that be together or separate," the source went on to say, adding that they were a match during their brief romance. "They had a good thing and there aren't any hard feelings on either side. They started as friends and still are," the publication reported.

"They will continue to be respectful of each other's spaces, careers, families, and friends," the insider concluded. Fans of the reality star were hoping to see Kim with Odell at the Met Gala, but she will be seemingly walking the red carpet by herself.

"We're always looking to add to the roster and have the most competitive roster we can to make the team better," General Manager Chris Grier said before news about the contract was revealed.

After Katy Perry Pitched Jelly Roll As Her American Idol Replacement, Lionel Richie Pitched Two Big Names I Love Even...

Ever since Katy Perry announced her impending exit from American Idol ⁘ via creative use of the game Two Truths and a Lie ⁘ fans have inevitably wondered who might replace her alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. A few former champions have thrown their hats in the ring, and Perry herself indicated that she⁘d love to see Jelly Roll get the gig . However, ⁘Endless Love⁘ crooner Richie threw out a couple of huge names that he⁘d like to see, and I would totally be on board with this.

I have to say, I love Lionel Richie shooting his shot like this, and this would undoubtedly be an excellent pick. I think Kelly Clarkson was one of the best all-time coaches of The Voice during her nine seasons on the NBC singing competition, so I'd love to see her return to the competition realm. (And that wouldn⁘t be the only overlap between American Idol and The Voice .)

But why stop there? Lionel Richie also had another name in mind, and it⁘s one that⁘s honestly been on a lot of people⁘s minds lately with her new album, the Eras Tour and high-profile relationship with Travis Kelce ⁘ that⁘s right, Richie shouted out Taylor Swift as a possible replacement for Katy Perry, saying:

As amazing as either Kelly Clarkson or Taylor Swift would be as an American Idol judge, I feel like both are a long shot. Idol , like The Voice , films primarily in Los Angeles, and one of the reasons Clarkson left The Voice was because she relocated to New York. As for Swift, well, we hear she⁘s got a lot going on at the moment .

It definitely seems like a fun dynamic to join, whoever does get that call. Until we know more, though, you can continue to watch Katy Perry⁘s final episodes at 8 p.m. ET Sundays on ABC. Be sure to check out our 2024 TV schedule to see what premieres are coming soon.

Benefits Of Exercise Analyzed At Molecular Level In MoTrPAC Study

I t's widely known that exercise is beneficial for health. Yet science doesn't have a clear understanding of what makes moving so good for us, including what molecular mechanisms are activated by exercise.

To answer those questions, researchers launched a large, 10-year study in 2015 to understand the biological impact of physical activity in both rats and humans. The Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity Consortium (MoTrPAC ) — a group including scientists from Stanford University, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and more — published its first paper on Wednesday in Nature .

To start, the group attempted to unravel the impact of endurance exercise in rats, organ by organ. Six-month-old rats trained on a miniature treadmill for one to eight weeks. Two days after their last bout of exercise, researchers measured the molecular response in 19 of their organs and tissues.

"A ridiculous number of measurements — 215 million measurements — were made with all different kinds of molecular assays," said corresponding author Michael Snyder, the director of the Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine and Stanford School of Medicine. "The goal is to see the changes that occur."

Compared to tissues from age- and sex-matched rats who hadn't exercised, the athletes saw certain molecular responses activated, including immune, metabolic, stress, and mitochondrial pathways. Immune-related pathways were strengthened in the small intestine, for example, as well as, more moderately, in the heart and brain. For rats analyzed in the early stages of training, the researchers saw markers of increased muscle protein turnover in the kidney, as well as higher cortisol levels, likely associated with the physical stress of training.

"It's a bit like a map," said Snyder. "We're trying to make a map of what happens when you exercise, and give a very comprehensive view."

Exercise also impacted rats differently depending on their sex, a result that didn't surprise Aaron Baggish, a professor of medicine at University of Lausanne. "We know from decades' worth of observing both animal and human models that men and women don't necessarily respond similarly to exercise," said Baggish, who was not involved in the study. "It's going to be the work of many of us in this field to try to understand why some of those differences occur, and these molecular data really represent an opportunity to do that in a new way."

'Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary Warns Student Protesters Are 'Screwed'

Shark Tank 's Kevin O'Leary warned that pro-Palestinian student protesters may be "screwed" while applying to jobs in the future due to artificial intelligence (AI) background checks.

The protests have sparked criticism from some Jewish leaders, who say they make Jewish and Israeli citizens feel at risk. Some critics also say some of these protests have veered into antisemitism.

O'Leary, a businessman known for his role on the television show Shark Tank, warned that students could face long-term consequences for their actions in the protests due to the use of AI in hiring processes during an appearance on Fox News ' The Five on Wednesday.

While student protests are nothing new, they are now being recorded on high-quality cameras, rather than 15mm film used to record protests during the 1960s and 1970s, that make it easier to recognize individuals participating in the protests.

If a potential employer finds footage of a person participating in illegal or otherwise potentially objectionable behavior during a protest, they may opt to hire other applicants, he said.
