Where to start this one. There are multiple great options for the top mention in these notes, but I think I’ll go with the weird and fun one, even if it isn’t particularly meaningful.
🚨 NO-HITTER ALERT 🚨
The @LansingLugnuts may have given up a run, but @Athletics prospects Jorge Juan, Jack Owen, Shohei Tomioka and Osvaldo Berrios combined on a no-no: https://t.co/2lAVnvek4b pic.twitter.com/559wlwLYjV
'This is really weird. Who wakes up and their hand doesn't work?' - The Washington Post
The act was so routine Michael Brenner never thought about it — until the Sunday morning in June 2021 when he ambled over to his computer to type a quick note and discovered he couldn't. Brenner, who is right-handed, was unable to lift or extend his fingers, which felt inexplicably stiff.
A week later, his condition unchanged, the 29-year-old investment firm research analyst saw his internist for what he assumed was a minor, and easily fixable, problem. He soon discovered it was neither trivial nor easy to diagnose; he had no idea how tricky it would be to treat.
Review: Lenovo's ThinkPad Z13 is a bit weird, but Ryzen 6000 is fantastic | Ars Technica
From the basic, boring E-series to the premium X-series , Lenovo's ThinkPads rarely surprise you with their designs. By and large, they are intentionally unremarkable, with straightforward (and sometimes boxy) frames and unassuming black finishes.
So when Lenovo departs from this basic template, as it has for the new ThinkPad Z13 Gen 1 , it's worth talking about. The Z13 is recognizable as a ThinkPad, but it has eccentric flourishes like brushed gold accents and a vegan leather lid.
18 Weird Things People Have Seen In Public
"My dad and I looked at each other and both burst out laughing. Turns out the guy does this regularly and even has a Facebook page devoted to his 'yard work!'"
"Don't know if it's worth noting but there aren't mask mandates in the UK at the moment, and there hasn't been for a while, so I don't think it was Covid related. My driving instructor didn't see him so I wonder if I hallucinated it? So weird."
The Story Behind Daniel Radcliffe Getting the Weird Al Role
To the surprise of no one, the new biopic of "Weird Al" Yankovic looks decidedly odd. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story features Daniel Radcliffe as the famous song parodist, whom the film presents as a tormented genius facing his own demons as he rises to conquer the music industry.
No less strange is the sight of Radcliffe in the role. The actor who became famous for playing Harry Potter looks utterly out of place and completely perfect with Yankovic's signature curly hair, glasses and a Hawaiian shirt.
Mark Zuckerberg training MMA is about as weird as you'd think it be | Boing Boing
Self-defense is an essential skill that every human should have. Even if it's minimal, the ability to intelligently navigate physical combat can provide one with a massive psychological boon.
As Dusk Falls Has a Really Weird Visual Quirk, But it Works
When I first booted up Interior Night's new interactive movie/narrative adventure game As Dusk Falls, I confess that I was unaware of its big – and initially jarring – visual quirk.
What I didn't realise is that the whole game relies on these static images.
But after a bit of a slow start, As Dusk Falls' style grew on me, and while there are certainly shortcomings to it, on the whole I've found it to be a net positive for this kind of game and the story it's telling.
Nick Kyrgios Does Really Weird Thing (Even For Him) And It Costs Him A Point At U.S.
This time he grabbed attention for hitting a ball on Medvedev's side of the court and slamming it away. Medvedev had stabbed at a volley that floated out on his own side when Kyrgios bizarrely ran over to put the ball away before it bounced.
