Ruinsmagus preview: A beautiful, flawed virtual reality JRPG | Android Central

Ruinsmagus has an awful lot going for it in terms of presentation. While I found its anime aesthetic visually appealing in trailers, I was still initially hesitant about seeing it in VR.

I was immediately engrossed in the world of Ruinsmagus the very moment I stepped inside of it. There’s a great sense of depth that makes interacting with the characters feel more realistic and natural than I anticipated.

Students from 10 universities around the country can visit historical settings and perform surgery on cadavers, all from the comfort of their homes, after an Iowa company that specializes in virtual reality created digital campuses.

During the pandemic, students at Morehouse College in Atlanta reported struggling with online learning. The university came to VictoryXR, a company based in Davenport, Iowa. CEO Steve Grubbs had the solution: build a virtual replica of the campus.

Florida police force uses virtual reality headsets to train officers

The reflection of two sizable computer screens glinted on his glasses as he raised his eyebrows, shooting a look across the 12-foot square room. It landed on Chief Gus Medina, whose eyes darted toward the floor as a knowing smirk crept across his face.

"Did the chief tell you how all of this started?" Smolen asked, holding his gaze and grin while gesturing around the room, which houses the department's newest acquisition: a virtual-reality training system.
