Dover girls roll past Laurel in the DIAA first round - 47abc
LAUREL, Del.- With the 67-20 win over Laurel, the Dover Senators advance to round two of the DIAA state tournament. The Senators will take on Conrad the Friday. With the loss, the Bulldogs finish the season with a record of 14-7.
The Senators came out hot, taking a 28-8 lead after the first quarter. The Bulldogs were able to cut into the lead a little in the second quarter, getting it down to a 15 point deficit but Dover extended it back to 20 at the break. Tamyah Jones and Z'Naiya Robinson lead all scorers with 12 points each for the Senators. Nakayla Smith led Laurel with 4 points.
