During the Sunday, May 4, episode , the Top 10 contestants needed to sing songs from iconic women in music, and country singer Miranda Lambert mentored them.
A lot of the singers selected songs by Adele or Carrie Underwood with some performing Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert and Beyoncé. Season 22 winner Abi Carter also stopped by to perform her newest song "burned."
On Monday, May 5, the Top 8 will need to perform songs selected by Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie or Carrie Underwood for the "Judge's Song Contest." Jelly Roll also offers advice as the artist in residence and America will vote for the Top 6.
New episodes of "American Idol" 2025 air Sundays starting Sunday, March 9. New episodes also started airing on Monday nights beginning Monday, March 31.
If you're not able to watch live, "American Idol" Season 23 will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
