Texas agency's employees told to dress based on 'biological gender'

The dress code is outlined in a memo signed by Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and sent to employees last week. The Texas Observer, which first reported on the memo , published sections of the new dress code Monday.

"Common sense dress code policies are still legal in the state of Texas and at the Texas Department of Agriculture," Miller said. "(The department's) policies are in the best interest of our employees and the constituents we serve."
