NASA declares end of InSight Mars mission - SpaceNews
WASHINGTON — NASA has officially ended the mission of the InSight Mars lander after power levels on the spacecraft dropped to the point where it could no longer communicate with Earth.
InSight missed its first planned communications session Dec. 18 after communicating with Earth as expected three days earlier, the agency said Dec. 19. NASA did not disclose when the second missed communications session was scheduled.
Assembly Begins on NASA's Next Tool to Study Exoplanets
The Coronagraph Instrument on NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will study planets around other stars. Putting it together will require a highly choreographed dance.
The Coronagraph Instrument team has already designed the cutting-edge instrument and built the components. Now they have to put the pieces together and run tests to make sure they operate as intended.

NASA Gets Unusually Close Glimpse of Black Hole Snacking on Star
Recent observations of a black hole devouring a wandering star may help scientists understand more complex black hole feeding behaviors.
Multiple NASA telescopes recently observed a massive black hole tearing apart an unlucky star that wandered too close. Located about 250 million light-years from Earth in the center of another galaxy, it was the fifth-closest example of a black hole destroying a star ever observed.
NASA Spacewalk Postponed Due to Debris Avoidance – Space Station
While flight control teams were preparing for today’s U.S. spacewalk, updated tracking data on a fragment of Russian Fregat-SB upper stage debris showed a close approach to station.
The maneuver will use the Roscosmos Progress 81 thrusters to provide the complex an extra measure of distance away from the predicted track of the debris. Thruster firing is targeted to occur at 8:42 a.m. EST. The crew is not in any immediate danger.
