Ivory Is An Underappreciated Part Of WWE's Women Wrestling History

WWE has had some truly legendary women in the company over the years. In the Attitude Era alone, there were several incredible women featured heavily that have gone on to become known as huge influences for the talent today.

One name that deserves to be brought up just as much as those guys, but has largely fallen by the wayside, and needs to be remembered more fondly now, is Ivory.

"That door's closed" - 5 WWE women who refuse to come out of retirement

Meanwhile, a few former female superstars have stayed true to their retirement. Unlike Stratus, Lita, and many other former superstars, they have not returned to the ring since hanging up their boots.

After a short stint in WCW, Stacy Keibler joined WWE in 2001. The 42-year-old then spent about five years in the Stamford-based company before leaving in July 2006 and retiring from professional wrestling.

Trish Stratus is heading back to WWE for a string of shows

Though Trish Stratus hasn’t wrestled in a match since SummerSlam 2019 , the WWE Hall of Famer unquestionably remains one of the most popular women to ever lace up her boots and step into the ring.

So naturally, as WWE returns to Canada for a pair of house shows in Kingston, Ontario, on August 20 and the Sunday Stunner house show in London, Ontario, on August 21, it was only right for the company to give Stratus the call to see if she wants to get in on the festivities.
