American Idol: Alumni Will Be Mentors In Season 20 After Bobby Bones Exit
American Idol season 20 will feature alumni from past seasons as mentors now that Bobby Bones has left the series due to a conflict with another show.
This is not the first time that American Idol has asked alumni to return to mentor the contestants. Adam Lambert served as a mentor in season 9 during Elvis Presley Week and during " Rush Week" alongside Chris Daughtry in season 13.

Chayce Beckham won ABC’s “American Idol” in 2021, and he’ll be on the road for the first few months of 2022.
“2022 is looking pretty good so far,” Beckham wrote on Instagram alongside the tour dates.
According to Newsweek, Beckham received a record deal with Hollywood Records as well as a cash prize of around (dollar)250,000, though according to The Blast, the winner must cover some of their own costs in creating their record.
