Last October, about 15 Sports Illustrated models came to Brush Creek Ranch in the Platte Valley, where they modeled for photos in various nearby locations and landscapes. The Wyoming Office of Tourism says the feature helps not only Carbon County but the entire state attract more visitors.
RAWLINS – Every year, the Wyoming Office of Tourism promotes Wyoming in several ways: There is the traditional effort to draw tourists to the state, but there is also a campaign for "earned media," or the chance to be featured in well-read magazines and media content across the nation.

White is the only model in the swimsuit edition sporting her natural Afro, a choice she hopes shows other Black women they don't have to compromise their identity to be successful. She wants to promote more inclusion and diversity in magazines.
"There is such a strong need for more of it, even though the industry is making steps forward, there is still a long way to go," White said. "As one of the Black models in the magazine, I feel empowered to represent for women who have darker skin or kinkier hair."

Tom Muha: Give yourself peace of mind during these stressful times - Capital Gazette
Since it's not safe to be going out to enjoy many of the activities that brought us pleasure in the past, we need to rely on internal sources of joy to psychologically survive the pandemic. Research conducted at the University of Wisconsin is proving that it's possible to dampen our stress-induced impulses by intensifying our feelings of love and kindness.
These studies revealed the importance of releasing the physical tension that causes our body to become tense. We can dispel the feelings of anger, anxiety and depression that often lurk just under the surface, amplifying our negative responses to the very people with whom we need to have positive connections.
